Directional Lighting

Image result for directional lighting
This picture is nice in that it has a shadow, but some light gets through and gets slightly distorted, which makes it clear were the light is coming from. Multiple marbles also look cool with a light shining on them from an angle.

I like this picture simply because the food looks delicious, but it can be used to view the direction of light, which is the window. The different objects react differently to the light, with the vegetables and pan being more reflective even though the table has more surface area that is taking in light.

  1. The #1 thing that has my attention for the first photo is how there are at least 3 colors in each marble, but only the red is being reflected on the ground. Other than that, I like how you can tell the direction of the lighting, not only from the shadows, but also the little spec of light shining on the marbles themselves.
For the second photo, I think the light showing the entire setting gives off a feeling of home.

  2. I really enjoy the contrast between the food/table and the surroundings. the food seems as if it has been partially eaten, the table is not parallel with the window. The texture on the table looks cool with the light coming from the outside.

  3. The light shining through the marbles casts shadows on the ground that make it look like there are even more marbles cluttering the photo. I like the way the light emphasizes the scratches on each marble's surface. The way the light highlights of each colored marble bit intensifies their colors.
