First off, absolutely love the song choice! Your choices in lighting were also very unexpected in some areas, but they worked really well. The use of direction was really cool, when he's talking about where everyone was at the time, and your lights come on from different sides as if they represent the people he' mentioning. The changing of lights in quick succession made for a very excited feeling. Awesome presentation!
I love how you introduce the different character in the song by bringing up individual lights! Your quick fades are really in sync with the backing track and it hits the beats in the music perfectly. My favorite was your crossfade on, "immigrants, we get the job done." I think you took such a challenging song and really highlighted it's intricacies with your design, great job!
I really liked the timed fades, and I feel like despite this song being very jumpy and kinda fast, the slower fades work way better at conveying emotions than just having the lights transition consistently. I also like how you do incorporate some of those quick jumpier moments with some immediate shifts in lighting to help emphasize the specific moments in the song that you felt were more important. One of the coolest effects that I saw from any shows was your choice in how to create a record scratch effect, but with lights @ ~2:15.
