The darkness of the trees, contrasted with the bright light from the sun which illuminates the walkway. This does a very good job of portraying a "light at the end of a tunnel", or even a biblical reference in nature "seeing the light" type of feel.

The way in which the sun provides backlight for the spiderweb, allows the web itself to glow and, I think, highlight the small things in nature.

  1. The first photo is very similar to one of the photos I posted regarding the "light at the end of a tunnel", but I honestly like this one better. With this photo, I like how the sun lights the entire bridge rather than just the very end of the path.
For the second photo, I like how the sun goes through the strings of the web better than the branches and the web balls (can I call them that? lol). They make a bit of a light-dark contrast. It's also interesting how the background is so blurred out and that it works with the sun to make the spiderweb the subject of the photo.

  2. The picture of the web and spiders is interesting because the sunlight makes the spiders and the web look translucent. There is also the darkness of the trees underneath the sun which shows a contrast and gives the sunlight more power as a light source if that makes sense.
