Absolutely wonderful choice of song--bittersweet and beautiful. That translated well in your lighting design! The use of the warm, happy pink and bright orange to show the "sunshine," and the slow fades away to colder, paler lights to show it being "taken away" is all really great. The final fade to black at the end wraps the song up so well. All of your cues were timed wonderfully, and you kept things simple, just like the song. Overall, great job!
I liked how during the verses of the song, you would use the cool lights, like the blue and the whites, to show the sadder emotions. Then I like how you contrasted that with the lights during the chorus using the warmer colors to show how much his lover really did mean to him. I do agree that the song is really sad, and the light choices you made help show that. I really enjoyed your project and song choice!
