I like that the land is being backlit by the sun, and that there is a reflection on the water. I think the light from the setting sun helps give off a calm, relaxed feeling. The orangish-yellow color from the sun also gives off a warm and friendly feeling.
This photo also has the sunlight in the background so that the flowers are backlit. However, I like that the we don't see the flowers just as black silhouettes. I think the sunlight that reflects off the flowers helps give off a romantic feel.
I really like how the sun is essentially in the same place in both of these pictures, but they both inspire such different emotions. With the top one, the muted blue makes things look a little drab and intimidating, but the bottom one, with its hints of pink and purple, looks romantic and sentimental.
ReplyDeleteBoth images have such bold light, since the sun is in the photo, but they still have really interesting shadow. I like the color in these photos: the top one is very subtle but the sunset really contrasts the dark land, and the bottom photo is has such deep purple because of the contrast in light.
ReplyDeleteI love the sun on the horizon in both photos. The first one is focused on the sun itself, making the land look darker in comparison to the light reflecting off of the water in the sea. In the second one, the focus is on the flowers while still lighting up the horizon.
ReplyDeleteIn both photos, I really love how the sun is placed in the frame. Especially on the first photo, as it is dead center, with the water reflecting a bit of it as well and just creates a nice partitioning. I also really love the color palette of the first photo, as it's a very nice gradient, with a harsher change near the sun itself.
ReplyDeleteBoth photos are interesting because although the sun isn't the main piece of the picture, it hoards the spotlight due to its extreme brightness and intensity.
ReplyDeleteFor the first picture, I like that just like the sun's color, the color of the sky adds its own light soothing mood. There is also a slight contrast between the light color of the lake and the dark color of the trees.
